WITH THE SILLY season of August drawing to a close and with movers and shakers returning from Tuscany and the Algarve to their desks, I have started the process of looking for a new SponsorshipManager/Project Manager.

I will be meeting one tomorrow who comes with high recommendation from an old friend and publishing colleague of mine but would like to hear from anyone who thinks they could help.
The task is one replete with stops, starts, irritating red tape, bureaucracy and petty politics. It requires the knowledge and copywriting skills to get under the skin and actual wants and desires of prospective sponsors and the staying power to plough this lonely furrow until the task is complete.
